As you progress through your private pilot training, you will need to invest in equpment such as:
  • Logbook
  • Headset
  • iPad and Garmin or Foreflight subscription

  • Written test prep
Many of these can be purchased online through websites such as Sportys, PilotMall, MyPilotStore, or Amazon.
Part 61 is more flexible than part 141 training. Students can work at their own pace and customize their training schedule to fit their personal strengths and weaknesses. Part 61 is ideal for those wanting to work full-time or attend school as they pursue their certificates.
Instruction primarily occurs in cooperation with Schilling Aviation Services (SAS). SAS has two aircraft available for rental: a Cessna Skyhawk (C172L) and an Piper Archer (PA28-181).  https://schillingav.com/
No Problem! Flight instruction will come to you within an hour commute of Salina. Locations beyond an hour commute will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
